Take it or Leave it Blackjack

I discovered casinos when I was 16 years old and started sneaking in whenever I got the chance. Once inside, I discovered blackjack. I have been playing ever since. I must have played millions of hands of blackjack. Then came the internet so I started playing online blackjack. I have counted cards and once I even worked with a team. So it’s easy to understand that I have won and lost lots of money at blackjack. Nowadays, the casinos make it pretty difficult to win.

These days I enjoy the game and play whenever I can. Over the years I perfected and played a variation called "Take it or Leave it Blackjack". This method won’t make you rich, but you will have a lot of fun. The method is based on the fact that blackjack is a game that runs in streaks. When you're hot you’re hot, and when you’re not, you're ice cold! This is how it goes:

You play basic strategy blackjack. When you lose, you bet the minimum on the next hand. Let’s say $5. If you lose again, you bet $5 again, and so on. But once you win, you take the $5 win and bet $5 again. If you win this hand, you leave the $5 payout and bet $10 total. If you win again, you take the $10 won, and if you win the next hand, you leave it for a total of $20. Keep betting this way "Take it, Leave it, etc". As soon as you lose, you drop the bet down to $5.

You have to be disciplined and have nerves of steel. It gets hair raising sometimes. If you win a few hands in the row, your bets go up very quickly. Soon you will be betting $100 - 200 per hand. I have had a few great streaks in my time. I once left a $5 table after less than an hour’s play at the Dunes with $750 in my bankroll! Some months ago I walked away from the table in Atlantic City with $1,200!

Of course you can lose a lot faster this way! But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised how you get to recognize the streaks. Look at this chart and see what happens if your streak keeps running.

Bet $10. Take $10 paid to you.
Bet $10. Leave $10 paid to you for a total bet of $20.
Bet $20. Take $20 paid to you.
Bet $20. Leave $20 paid to you for a total bet of $40.
Bet $40. Take $40 paid to you.
Bet $40. Leave $40 paid to you for a total bet of $80.
Bet $80. Take $80 paid to you.
Bet $80. Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of $160.
Bet $160. Take $160 paid to you.
Bet $160. Leave $160 paid to you for a total bet of $320.
Bet $320. Take $320 paid to you.
If you leave at this point you would be up $630.

Most streaks won’t run as long as this, but it happens. When it does, just grit your teeth and play along. Don’t rock the boat!
