Just as I reported some time ago, the Ultimate Blackjack Tour would soon be broadcast on is to be televised. The first televised broadcast of the Ultimate Blackjack Tour will appear on CBS television starting Saturday, September 16th. The program may be seen at 2pm EST appearing just pair to NCAA football games coverage.
To best describe the UBT or The Ultimate Blackjack Tour, it consists of a series of worldwide Blackjack tournaments. These tournaments are to be hold in such places as Paris, Atlantic City, Las Vegas and Aruba. At the completion of the regular series of tournaments, those who come out the winners will compete at the Championship event.
It is the hope of those who founded the UBT that the televised coverage will create as much interest in Blackjack as the WPT did in poker. CBS has agreed to broadcast the tournaments for at least two years and it is believed that during this time the show will gain a strong following. Following are the projected air dates:
• Sept. 16th
• Sept. 23rd
• Sept. 30th
• Oct. 14th
• Nov. 4th
• Nov. 18th
• Nov. 25th
• Dec. 30th
